CERMONT: Expert Welded Steel Structures with Environmental Credentials

The Challenge

CERMONT is a family-owned Polish manufacturer of welded steel structures for industrial buildings, public facilities and bridges, producing up to 1,000 tonnes a month. Heavy welded fabrication is material- and energy-intensive, and the projects CERMONT supplies increasingly require transparent, verified environmental data for their structural steel.

The Solution

CERMONT embeds environmental management directly into operations through an integrated system certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, rather than treating it as a side activity. Fabrication is governed by Factory Production Control to EN 1090-1 up to execution class EXC4 — used for bridges and critical structures — and a welding system to EN ISO 3834-2, supporting controlled, low-rework production and long service life. On this standards-driven base, the verified EPD in the EPD Polska register documents the life-cycle footprint of CERMONT's steel structures.
