The Challenge
Daylighting and glazing products face rising demand to demonstrate, not just claim, environmental performance — driven by EU construction rules and specifiers who now ask for measured, comparable carbon data over a product's life cycle.
The Solution
Kingspan pursues this through Planet Passionate, its sustainability programme to 2030: a majority of energy from renewables with on-site solar PV across most owned sites, net-zero carbon manufacturing, and a Scope 1 and 2 emissions cut already reported at around 70% versus 2020. Its daylighting production runs on renewable energy, and the SKYLIGHT ONE rooflight is documented with a verified EPD published in the EPD Polska register.
The Result
The EPD turns corporate decarbonisation progress into product-level proof that architects and specifiers can rely on across European green-building programmes such as LEED and BREEAM.
