The Challenge
RexBud manufactures cold-formed steel profiles and metal flashings used across Polish commercial, industrial and residential construction. As BREEAM and LEED gained traction among developers, specifiers began requiring verified environmental data for every steel component — including secondary structural elements.
The Solution
RexBud concentrates its environmental effort where it has direct control over the product's life-cycle impact: long-life corrosion coatings (magnesium-zinc, galvanised and aluzinc) that keep structures in service for decades instead of being scrapped or re-coated; recyclable steel as the base material; and Polish production that keeps the supply chain local and transport distances short. Quality is governed by an ISO 9001 system with EN 1090-1 fabrication, and the cradle-to-gate EPD (EN 15804+A2) in the EPD Polska register documents the footprint across the company's profile and flashing portfolio.
The Result
The verified EPD makes RexBud one of few Polish cold-formed steel producers with independently certified environmental data, supporting bids on BREEAM-certified projects and export markets where product environmental documentation is standard practice.
